No Cruise Control, Help!
Hey all,
My 1992 f250 ext cabs cruise control just stopped working on me the other day and I am missing it on my daily drives to work. Something interesting I have found so far is that the cruise control switch on the brake master cylinder has zero wires going to it and ever since I have had the truck it has not had ay wires to it. I'm guessing it was bypassed when the previous owner took it to ford and had the engine replaced with a crate engine, is that possible? In case you are wondering it has 4x4 with the 460 and a e40d transmission
Any help would be greatly appreciated,

You can get the recall switch/piggyback harness from amazon for $20. Takes 10 minutes to swap, you don't need to bleed your brakes either.

The 1992 model year trucks use a vacuum style cruise control system, no BPS is used. Therefore the recall is not relevant.
1993 model year truck have a BPS that is located near the RABS hydraulic unit on the driver side frame rail, not on the Master Cylinder.
BPS= Brake Pressure Switch.

Can I ask 2 possible dumb questions?
1 a 95 F250 5.8 truck has what brake system?
2 The system in my truck does not have a pigtail as pictured above. Could this be why i have no cruise?

The answer to #2 is Yes, that is probably why your cruise control does not work.
