2015 cab and chassis reliability??

Was looking at getting a 2015 cab and chassis with the 6.7 and putting a hay bed on it. I was just wondering if this truck and earlier versions have been a reliable truck. Thanks for any help. I realized I posted this in the super duty forum and not 6.7. I'm a newbie so I apologize for rookie mistakes.

I love mine. 40K all pulling our 5th wheel. The dealer I bought mine from sells a lot of chassis/cabs with hydraulic hay hooks and custom beds. I have had it in the shop once for a PCM reflash, couldn't tell any difference before or after, but the mechanic thought it was a good idea. Lots of chassis cabs around here with steel or aluminum beds, the middle of cattle country on the "Plains of Kansas"

Good luck with your decision, let me know if I can help..........

You might already know this, but I share it because I've seen one person jump in without knowing.....the 2015 C&C's didn't receive any of the changes that the pickups did. It will still have the same 300/650 ratings of the 11-14 C&Cs. Probably not important, but I thought i'd put it out there.

I've put just 11,000 miles on my truck since the end of Nov '14 (all towing) and haven't had a problem.
As Brett has stated, Ford hasn't changed much on the engines of the CC so failure rate would be the same on a '15 as any other year 6.7.
Although it has 660lb-ft of torque.

Just a few thoughts on the HP/TORQUE figures of the chassis cabs. Before this truck I towed the same 5th wheel that I still have over the same 1800 mile trip, except I did the tow with a 2004 FX4 6.0.

I think that engine was rated for more HP than my current chassis cab. I can tell you one thing for sure. This 2011 will accomplish the same trip with much less transmission shifting and better mpg.

I only drive 60 mph, towing or empty. The bottom line is this: I don't need more HP or torque, but for those who do it's nice they can get it in the regular pickups. I also don't know how the HP/TORQUE figures are derived on the two different engines. I only know I have plenty of engine to do the job.

Good luck with your choice.

I have a 12 C&C with a 12' rack body. Now has tool boxes and is more used as a service truck. 50,000 miles, 1 issue. The famed sensor overheat, truck died issue, which was just fixed via recall reflash. Otherwise, its been a real workhorse. I even get decent milage with her. 12-13 according to the lie o meter. I think it's more like 10 mpg but I get that empty or full. She wont jump the line, but pulls strong, plows anything and goes up hills like nothing.
