How rare are extended cab f series trucks 67 - 72. I am trying hard to find one for purchase, I have seen that they exist but I don't see any for sale. I live in california and I am willing to travel. I also don't need a complete truck, I will settle for the cab on top of its frame. I don't even care if it has doors, front clip, bed, dash ...................
Any advice you guys might have would be helpful. Thank you in advance.
Very, Very, Very Rare! I've personally never seen one or heard of one, although I have seen Crew Cab ones before, but those were custom made by some other company for work trucks.
1975 was the first full year for Super Cabs being available. They made some in the later end of the '74 model, but they never made them before then, so if there is one, some other company made it.
Here is the only one that I have seen, and it is for sale in Renton WA just look it up on traderonline under collector cars. It is a 67, but I think it looks pretty gay.
Supercabs (extended) were factory made in the mid 70's. Crewcabs (four door) I think were made for the railroad companies in 67 with that body style. Anything else would be custom made. That green one is either photoshopped or somebody did a lot of work on that thing. I think it looks rainbowie too. The sweet custom jobs are when you take a crewcab truck front and a 78/79 full size bronco rear and make yourself an oldschool excursion.
I saw a 70-72 CrewCab running down the road not long ago here in South Dakota... It was beat, and definatly not someone's baby, therefor I don't think it was someones creation... I've never seen another, but it definatly was the 67-72 body style...
I was told that the crew cab trucks were made by companies outside of the manufactuer. most of the buyers were railroad and emergency companies. There is a VERY nice example running around here in south Oklahoma City, the owner uses it as a work truck in a lawn services company. I have yet to talk to him to see if he wants to "join the club" as far as the extended cab, I have never seen one older than '76
One of the books I have shows a '73 Supercab but does go on to say '74 was the first year. The truck pictured above has been shown on this sight a few times. It's something some one made. Been for sale for a long time! Crew cabs are a differant story, I think the first year of production was '65. Not sure on that one though.
I dont know if its a bad picture or what. But the cab and the box dont seem to line up to good
HAHAHAHAHA, I don't know of ANY unrestored 67'72 effies with cabs that line up with the bed!! I guess as soon as they come off of the lot and they hit their first pothole, they get the twisted bed syndrome!
