Medium Duty Crew Cabs?
Medium Duty Crew Cabs?
Curiosity is getting the better of me and I want to know the answer, I've been doing research and I can't come up with any pictures on the internet or answers so of course I'll ask the experts!
Ford started making crew cabs in 1965, and I have seen plenty of excellent examples of F250s and F350s. Did Ford make any F600/700 crew cabs in the "slick" era? I've seen bumpsides and dentsides (I pass a dentside F700 crew frequently in my travels, it is a box truck parked and used as storage). I have never seen a slick medium duty crew, though. Do they exits? Does anyone have pictures?

I don't know if any were built but I know that one will soon exist. A local pair of guys are building a '66 Mercury 500 crewcab. It's a real Merc although a regular cab originally. No photos yet but I'm sure they'll be pretty proud of the result and post them.

All FoMoCo Crew Cabs were converted from Regular Cabs thru 1972.
Mid-year 1965 was when FoMoCo began converting their own.
Early 1965 Crews were converted by Crown Coach, have exposed rear door hinges, different shaped rear door window frames.
There are no records available for any 1961/66 trucks, as FoMoCo THREW THEM AWAY decades ago!
1967/79: martiauto.com has all the original 1967/79 FoMoCo vehicle records. Acquired them in the late 1980's when he found out FoMoCo was going to THROW THEM AWAY!

I saw an old picture of a N series slick crew cab on an N series site a few years ago, looked like it was an old utility truck from back in the day and not a modern conversion. I am building a heavy duty fridge crew cab (1960) but I am fairly sure mine will be the first from that body style.
I did do a photo shop slick f800 crew cab to see what one would look like, here:
