Valve pitting

What would you guys do with these valves? The one on the right is an exhaust valve and the one on the left is the intake from a GT40P head.

The seats look good and the valve guides appear to be good as well. If these have to be recut, any idea how much it would cost to do that?

id buy news ones easier and no more money, both i usually go thru a warehouse style vendor. The exhaust margin will only get smaller after refacing those pits anyways.

New valves should be properly cut from the factory, but must be matched to the valve seats. With that kind of damage to the valve face, I would check the valve seats for burns as well. Since you have the heads off already, why not just have a valve job done? The valve replacement will be part of the job, and you can be sure that they will properly match.

What he said! I've had exhaust valves ground that were not as bad but that one is worse then what I have come across in my engines. Being that the cost of Ford valves is not high I would replace those. But do get the heads looked at as the seats for those valves will have to be ground. These no way they are good with valves like that.
