i bought a set of head for rebuilding, one valve was burned, and others were worned out. i took the heads off my truck and found that the same valve was burned on them too.
the valve was the first exhaust valve, from the front, on the drivers' side.
is there any reason this valve is subject to burning or is this just a coincidence?
i forgot to mention that this engine is a 351m. both the donar engine and the engine in my truck had the same burned valve. the front most driver's side.
is there anything i can do to prevent the valve from getting burned again?
I would expect it to be the rearmost passenger side valve that burns due to the manifold vacuum tree although there are supposed to be drillings to conduct vacuum from both rear cylinders.
