lost 460 engine management

lost 460 engine management
I've been doing searches and trying to figure out how to make more power out of my 460 and from what I can tell if you do anything to add power you need to change the engine programming. What are people doing to accomplish that ? Truck is a 92 f350 460 auto with 4.10 gears the truck is a weekend warrior truck would like to make 300 to 350 hp eventually thanks for any help this efi stuff is all over my head .

Two ways to do what you want. 1. Go to a carb with a more aggressive cam and more compression. Or 2. Upgrade your efi system to mass air flow I believe 1996-1997 460's had maf then you can upgrade you cam and compression and the computer can handle it.
