What's the truck's build date?

Did you get an Oasis summary printed out before you bought it?

Did you get it from a ford dealer?

There's two things to watch for. Very slow leak on the ends/bottom corners of the main radiator. Rough transmission shifts or misses. If you have a complete vehicle history you'd know if it's the original radiator and also if the transmission has ever had solenoids replaced/updated.

There are another two things that you could worry about if you choose to. Fuel quality and weak exhaust valves. Do not ever allow any water to be mixed with your diesel and make absolutely sure that you pay attention to the quality of your fuel. Drain/check the water separator as frequent as you can. If your truck was built before 03/11 you may have exhaust valves that could break apart and the engine will completely self destruct. I'm not sure when ford began using better exhaust valves but it's generally known to be early 2011 trucks.

Read up on exhaust gas temperature sensors, NOx sensor, and everything else you see here in the 6.7 forum.

There's a TECH FOLDER near the top of the forum topics, read all that stuff and download the 6.7 book.

There's a lot of great folks here and a lot of great things you can do to your truck, everyone's sig line has lists of cool stuff.

Oh, and check your warranty status, consider if you can purchase one or add coverage to your auto insurance policy. The engine and fuel system are very expensive to replace if they fail and insurance is a good idea unless you have $25,000 sitting in an emergency fund. If you do then drive the thing like you stole it and enjoy.

Well, I had a 2012 F250 CCSB that I enjoyed for 50,000 miles and the upgraded to a 2015 F350 CCLB that now has 7,000 miles of fun on it.
Not what you are looking for, there are several here that have just under 200K, or over on their trucks.
Enjoy

Theres a post with a 2011 that had over 600k. It was a video of the odometer too. I did read another post in the super duty forum. It was in a thread about " How many miles are in your truck". A guy claims he saw one with 900k on it again a 2011. Was owned by a haul team of brothers. One sleeps one drives all the time. No idea if its true, but thats awesome!

Mine has 141,000 miles on it.
Today it's in the shop getting an oil leak fixed. Running off the back of the engine, Suspect its line supplying the turbo.

at 120,000 miles I had to replace a $20 connector that supplied Coolant to the turbo, Same drip down the back of the engine and off the bell housing. It's a $20 part but all day in shop as they have to pull the turbo to access it.

Around 100,000 miles I had to replace front bearing/hubs. These are expensive parts

EGT sensor #4 went out around 120,000 miles
Of course Coolant flush at 105,000 and tranny flush at 140,000
Both batteries around 100,000 miles needed replacing
Front disk pads and rotor around 80,000

When your engine blew did you pay out of pocket to replace it?

No, I always buy the ford extended warranty which covers me to 200,000. The bill was about $27,000.

Wow, I didn't know you could get coverage that far. That's great!

The longest ESP that I could find was for 8 years and 125,000 miles. Is the 200,000 mile offering a Ford ESP plan?

I'm coming up on 36,000 in a 2012 and need to decide whether to purchase an ESP quick.

Les- I think I'm right in stating that the 200k powertrain warranty has to be initiated by the original owner at the time of purchase, but perhaps Joel can clarify?

fski- I purchased premiumcare ESP through Bob Cline at Ziegler Ford:

Ford ESP: Ford Extended Service Plans at highly discounted prices. Lowest Price Guarantee!

My truck was at 99,995 miles at the time of inspection, so I've got till sometime in '17 or 135,995 miles of "coverage"

From what I found, it appears to base directly on your truck's "situation" as to what ESP plans are available to be extended to you. Just search this forum for ESP and you'll find plenty of info.
