Sagging springs

So the new Ex had a 4" pro comp lift on it and the front is about 1" to 1 1/2" lower than the rear. I'm pretty sure the front springs are bagged out a bit due to the heavy 6.0l under the hood.
My question is what's the cheapest easiest way to gain around 1" of lift in the front? Looks like a add a leaf would be an option but I've had no experience installing them. Am I going down the right road with that or is there a better option? Thanks in advance.

The two cheapest ways to raise the front by an inch would be with a longer shackle on the rear of the front springs or an add-a-leaf, the shackle will be the cheaper and easier of the two. The shackle also will not affect the ride of the truck while the add-a-leaf will make it ride a little more firm.

Wouldn't longer shackles affect my caster? Not sure how that would effect my steering.

I am considering the 4 inch procomp....do you know how long it has been on there before it sank? I want to make sure I shouldn't order the 6 inch kit anticipating it to sink some.

Several members here have them and report no ill steering effects, I went with X codes with an additional leaf so I don't have any first hand experience with the shackles.

I couldn't tell you for sure but I would suspect a long time. Maybe 5 or 6 years. Seems like a decent lift. Rear is a little stiff but I'm ok with that for towing.

One add-a-leaf should give you about 2" of lift. That is the rule of thumb. I have no experience with longer shackles, so I cannot help you there. I DO have experience with add-a-leafs in the front, however.

If you have a plow mount, like me..... the process is pretty difficult, as the mount has to be completely removed to get to the front eye-bolt. I opted to finagle my leafs into the pack without removing everything. It was a pain, but less so than removing the whole plow mount.

If you do not have a plow mount, add-a-leafs are pretty simple and easy.

Alright so looks like I can go with one add a leaf for around 2" of lift or these shackles for around 1" of lift.

My link doesn't work. They are Zone 1" front lift shackles.

Well if you only want 1", go with shackles.

Longer shackles are also available if not wanting to add a leaf and are looking to retain the same ride as you currently have.
