Thinking of upgrading my 5ver and want to make sure my truck can handle it. My owners manual only gives the GCWR for gas engines, and I am unable to find anything in the diesel supplement either.

personal opinion only. *the only trucks to come with the 5.13's were the f450's.they gave us another whopping half ton of combined capacity.lmao!
i wouldn't be too concerned with about the 24k range with the f-sd with the 4.63 or 5.13,4 wheel disc & hydroboost.

This is unusual but my owners manual lists GCWR at 14k for both manual and auto transmissions, maybe that reflects improvements made to the E4OD over those years.
