4X4 axle
I am looking for Links and videos to ID this axle and get info for pulling the locking hubs off and replacing the bearings and rotor/ hub assembly.(217,777.7 miles on Odo yesterday!)
I have never had them off since I bought this truck in 97 with 47.4 K miles on it. Several sets of pads and never turned the rotors yet. But did not catch that the left front wheel inside pad wore out and took out to much of the rotor. So the rotor and hub are coming off.
I have done lots of 2 wheel drive axle work but never any 4X4 locking hub removal.
Thank you in advance

1st, you do NOT have a 1 ton TTB. No such thing.
You have a D50 TTB. That is what came STANDARD on all 92-97 F250s
And good job on lack of maintenance . Maybe you should go over the whole truck
OP, I have seen many trucks around here go that long or longer without the bearings being greased. If pads never are allowed to go metal to metal and it isn't sunk in the mud all the time the grease should last a long long time. We don't have the salts on the road that seem to destroy seals and rust spindles and races. Depends on your location. You are in the desert, I am unfamiliar with that climate and what those conditions do to bearings and seals.
That said, I am sure by the age and mileage that you are ready for some new seals and lube. Not hard, just get the correct socket and a bearing packer will make it easier and provide better results.
This is the style I have. I keep one with high temp wheel bearing grease and one with marine wheel bearing grease. Much faster and 100% pack with no dry spots or air.
I have watched the video you have supplied and some more that come up after I finished the first one.
I am now looking forward to tackling this job when I have all the parts in hand.
Should have done this a long time ago. Will take lots of pictures and up date when complete.
To this date have not had any axle grease or oil leaks from front hubs.
Brake fluid leaks a few times. When one seal would leak they all get replaced. (Extra seal cheaper than another set of shoes or pads.)
Thank you.
