carburerator issues

carburerator issues
I have a '79 Ford 4x4 F250 with a 400m. I just put a new remanufactured UREMCO carb. I put everything on as should, and put the choke cover on as it is in the directions but the choke is on 24/7 no matter what I adjusted the choke cover and now the choke is off 24/7 but dies since its not getting enough fuel. need advice on what to do! thanks Sam.

This is for Holley but is a good overview of general carb setup. Start with fuel delivery. The fuel pump HAS to provide the right amount of both volume and pressure at all times. Make sure linkage is setup correct and set idle and idle mixture to mechanical zero and start from there?
