1981 F150 w/ 302 and a 2100 carb 1.08 Venturi and automatic choke.
Not sure if important:
Had the 1.02 venture (electric choke) in when I bought truck last year. Resently bought and rebuilt a 1.08 and threw it in the truck.
The air/fuel ratio is fine, but the choke sounds like it runs at probably 3000 to 4000 rpms when in park and drops down to normal when in gear. So its currently tough to set the idle adjustment because if its too low the truck will stall when driving. I tried the adj screw on the choke, but that made absolutely no difference. Is there an adjustment I am missing? Or do I need to open the choke assembly?
Any help or reference pages would be greatly appreciated
