E99 DRW 2WD front rotors ????

Does a Early99 DRW 2WD have different size Front rotors compared to Late99 DRW 2WD front rotors? I started this thread to talk about "Dually Only" Besides there already has been alot of talk about the SRW 4x4 E99 front rotors so no need to muddy up this thread with that. Now I did find enough proof and specs that the rear rotors for the rear of a DRW E99 and Late99 are the same.

I was under impression that all DRW weither they were 4wd or 2wd that they were the same as Late99. So as I am digging around trying to find upgraded rotors for my DRW 2WD and I ran into it saying "Made on or after 3-1-99" Well my build date is 8/98. So is this a misprint of someone carrying over the SRW info or is there a difference??

Now this ad for the same part has the "Made on or after 3-1-99" printed in the notes.

Then I went to the Irish parts store website and when looking it also has the same Made on or after 3-1-99 for a 2wd DRW and I don't see info saying that the Made on or before 3-1-99 2wd drw front rotors specs???

This is what I ordered. I didn't get much help in my thread either so I used rock autos fitment guide, and it said this fits.

Unfortunately those of you with a 2WD DRW are in a serious minority and some help is going to be hard to come by, and particularly in this department where things are really different from others. Then add E99 to it and it gets even worse.

Ed. I would call a Ford dealer and see if the part numbers are the same for the e99 versus the later models, and proceed from there.

Umm.... Its They will happily give 10 different part numbers to the exact same part; a different # for every year, model, trim, trim, etc.... And sometimes for no apparent logical reason at all. I doubt they can tell you anything other then "Its discontinued", since we are talking about a 16 year old vehicle.

Go to a local parts store, such as the one you mentioned. (By the way, I think I figured it out, but why does everyone say "the irish store" instead of just calling it O'Reilly's?). If they say there are an early and a late part#, have them order and/or pull both out for you, and put them on the counter next to each other. If you can bring your old existing rotor too, even better. Problem solved. Better to use your own eyes, rather then notoriously messed up aftermarket parts catalogs.

Hi Ed, This is what I put on my L99 back in May.
Seem to be good quality.
I also have their products on my Wife's PT Cruiser.
AND have front rotors from them to install on my Ranger.
May be contact them to see about fitment?

Ok, I put these on my E99 2wd, drw this weekend, they fit and work great! Don't forget new seals for front bearings. I put on new powerstop calipers on all 4 rotors. I also put on new front hoses, buddy that's a Ford tech said to replace them also as they have a history of failing. Hope that helps.

I know on the 4x4 you have to change the hub to make the late rotor work. So I would think it is the same for 2 wheel drive.
