Most of my towing needs can still be done with our 5.8 equipped Bronco.
Congratulations on your new truck, but I would be surprised if your Bronco was a better tow platform than the truck you just bought, no matter what engine is in it. If you do have some occasionaly towing chores, if it was me, I'd be pulling with the F150 for sure.
I've had my 2.7 crew cab for 3 months now, my buddies at work all have 5.0 f150s & GMC V8 trucks. They all made the comments of why did you get a tiny little engine. Jokes every day. 3 months Later 2 out of the 5 v8 truck owners are now looking on getting a 2.7 or 3.5 EB. F150
I shock the hell out of them ever time we head home on the on-ramp & Fwy ride home. I've now add a SCT Live Wire 91 Performance Tune. I avg 21 MPG with 35 in. tires 6 in. Lift. I do not hate V8s. I own two other car with V8s, but this little 2.7 is amazing. I just hope it last as long like a V8 would.
Here is what I see:
Older old school Guys will always stick with V8s,
younger millennial groups that like tech stuff, & Tuning will lean towards the new Tech ECOBOOST motors.
Don't Knocked them until you really Drive them HARD.
