Need some help...

Ok guys, here we go. It's another "what is it" thread.

This time it's a set of capped plugs on oem wire harness, drivers side mounted on the frame. In two of the pics you can see the spare tire.

Sorry about the pictures, I didn't get very good ones laying on the creeper.

Any help is very much appreciated!

Those might be the plugs for the trailer harness on trucks with fifth wheel prep.

Correct, I'll get you the part number tomorrow. I used those for my bed lights and a set of led reverse lights

Yep, if you tow a fifth wheel or a gooseneck you can buy a 7-pin socket to mount in the bed.

my 2015 came with the in-bed socket.

my 2011....I had to put one in myself.

on the 2015, Factor install .......in the back corner, just above the hitch.

The socket I installed is just above the wheel well in the shadow.

Thanks y'all for the replies!! I knew someone here would have the answer I've been so busy I didn't check back right away.

Does anyone know the part number for the harness so that I get the right one?

I have only used the six pin one. Never a need for the two prong yet, but the tech folder has a post with a wire connector list with photos you could dig through to find the two prong. I know the six pin one only uses five wires the other is a dummy. I am guess the two prong is the trailer brakes and a ground.

A side note: When my dad put the extra RV 7 way in his truck, the one he got from Ford connected with a Y at the back side of the hitch mounted RV 7 way, not to these connectors. I would buy that one and cut off that other Y and splice into these, for a much cleaner install.

Awesome, thanks!!! That actually might be exactly what I was looking for, because I am considering adding a headache rack with lights so I wouldn't need the 2-prong plug then. In that case I could go the aftermarket Rv connection in the bed and get a harness that plugs in the back of the 7-way down by the bumper.

This is what I'm looking at:
Low Pro Hollow Point Truck Rack With Lights - Magnum Manufacturing, Inc.

They offer a basic wire harness that I would use with that connector, making it all very simple....I love it when a plan comes together

I bought the 5er harness, mounted it under the left rear tail light, plugged into it a 7 way and from there I wired bed lights, reverse lights and running board running lights. 1 stop shop for all my aftermarket lighting needs.
