is it plausible?

Morning all. Newbie to the site and had a question for you. I currently have a 96 ford f250 hd 7.5 liter with 298,000 on it. I know she's due for a refresh, but still runs smoothly. I also have a 96 ford f150 with mass air 5.8.
Now here's the question. Is it possible to use the entire mass system from the 150 5.8 on the 250 7.5. Both have same tranny (e40d).
Other than changing the injection harnesses a bit what else might there be to look at. I know it will have to be tuned ,but would like some more input. Yes before you ask I am very mechanically inclined and knowledgeable.

I would also like to know the answer.

I know you need the right injectors and mass air meter matched to the computer.

Or you need to get a program like tweecer to match the 24lbs injectors up to the ecu.

The small blocks use 19 lbs injectors if I recall correctly.

So if you used the small block ecu with the big block injectors it may over fuel.
The ecu may be able to compensate with the input from the o2 sensors. But it may be to far out of calibration.

Well I'm going to give it a run at. I procured a factory 7.5 mass air unit, new injectors 4 new o2 sensors and bungs. Already have headers and dual 2.5 exhaust so that helps and a good fresh tune up. Repinned the four injectors so the fire off at the correct time. Now once things slow down a bit I'll go back to it and see if it will fire off. If so then to the tuner she goes.
