I'm just wondering what other parts (if any) are involved in a correctly functioning ignition lock cylinder. Right now, the cylinder isn't turning and operating properly, as in when I go to start the truck, it's difficult to turn and it doesn't spring back from the START to RUN position, I have to manually turn it back.
I don't know if this is something I have to tear apart the column to fix or what?
Replace the ignition switch on top of the column underneath the dash. And flood the area where you put the key with wd40. Hold a rag in your lap to catch the run-off and keep working it back and forth.
Thanks for the links! How did you find a past post that quickly? Is there a way to search keywords for old posts?

There is a site search, but Google plus the website works for me some times.
