Miles til "E"
has anyone else had issues with the miles till empty. I filled my truck up the other day (2013 F250 6.7) and at full it says I only have 272 miles til E. At 18mpg this doesn't compute. When full it used to say like 393 miles til empty. Just wondering if I should take it in before the warranty expires or is there a reset? Not just the normal reset.

The miles to E is based on the last "tank fill". As you drive the truck, it will update the miles to E. It may go up (as your case it probably will) or it may go down if you tow something. It is NOT a static number.
Sometimes mine reports 975 to E and if I towed recently, it will report like 750 to E. I have seen mine read 999 to E for many miles.

yes I just finished towing my 5th wheel. But I has reset itself in the past. It still thinks I'm towing maybe? I will have to double check with another fillup. You must have a real big tank to get 975 before E. I just have the standard 26 gal. and even not towing it reads almost 4oo till E. Weird I do realize its not a static number as my mpg varies with towing
