I ended up having a 433444 rad for a dentside 4x4 bracket swapped with my originals to make it fit. I had looked EVERYWHERE for a correct fit and just couldn't find one that was 100% right.

The rad from my 77 parts truck was a direct bolt in for my 68. Added bonus was it had the needed cooling lines for an auto trans since I was converting to auto.

Well done on your above essay, Ranger. I learned from it, am going to print it for my son, will bookmark it for guys who come in with radiator problems in the future. All should read it.
