4x4 Conversion 1997 F350
My 1992 has a seriously beefed up E4OD with about 20K miles on the build, so I am going with a divorced transfer case and keeping the transmission. The Sky SRK is already sitting in the back seat. I also already have the NP205 divorced case, a rebuild kit and modified shift rails for twin shifters.
I'll rebuild the 1997 engine with a bit of porting work on the exhaust side of the heads. I haven't decided if I will stroke it or not, as I am primarily worried about getting started with heavy loads on steep ramps once in a while. The 2:1 low range in the transfer case takes care of that. The only downside is having to find a level place to stop and shift into high range on the side of he road.
What I am looking for now are the front diff and suspension parts. Does anyone here know how far back I can go for the spring perches for the back end of the front leaves? I'm guessing I can go at least as far back as 1992, but can I go any earlier? Are they the same on the F250? Anyone willing to sell me a pair?
Anyone have an extra ball-joint style Ford Dana 60 that they are willing to sell? I am about 40 miles Northeast of Los Angeles and would be willing to drive a fair distance to pick it up.

King pin and ball joint 60s are out there. Just expensive.
Sounds like a good build for a build thread.
youre going to want to put the shackles in the rear of the axle, the stockers up front are a poor design/engineering choice. that said, you want to start off with the shackle reversal kit that a ton of companies sell, which will give you all of your perches in your kit. pick springs, move axle as far forward as you like/can, and lay out the perches accordingly.
I don't know what your junkyards are like out there, but ive been blessed with a great jy situation. ive been collecting kingpin dana 60's for years, at a cost of ~125 a pop from hub to hub. I sometimes get balljoint 60's if its not a bad pull....
check your junkyards, kingpin is wildly better than balljoint.

I had been on their site, but still didn't manage to find these.
