Exporer and Ranger axles difference.
Hi to all
I finally finished exprorer axle installation
and now I have faulty ranger axle. I want to remove diff, pinion, bearings and keep it to reuse if something goes on with my new axle.
The quation is, what parts are interchangable, what not.
As I can see explorer axle is thiker and heavier. Wheel axles differs too!
Any other difference?

Since the Explorer axle is described as thicker & heavier, I'm going to guess that it is a 8.8" and the other axle is a 7.5" model. If this is the case, I don't think that anything is interchangeable.

This is correct. The ring and pinion are the same, and umm....I think that's about it. Everything else is different between the 28 spline and 31 spline.

what parts from axle u advice me to keep in garage for explorer axle and what to sell?
I think I will keep pinion and ring gear, bearings, but I gonna sell differential and axle shaft

No, you cannot use the axle shafts, as they are a different diameter. The axle bodies are different between 28 spline and 31 spline. You can't use 28 spline parts in a 31 spline body, or vice versa. The carrier is also different and won't work. Like I said, the ring and pinion gears are the only things that are interchangable.
