Dad didn't let me touch or use the tools. I swept and mopped the shop floor, till I quit. Saw it all though. A greasy oily mess. I got a parts truck to get parts for my 1975 F100 4X4. I had to rebuild the Autolite 2100 Carburetor, Last worked on in the Eighties according to the dirt ring's counted during disassembly. The rebuild went almost fine ( could not find the complete parts Kit), I made due. The steel fuel line rusty, crusty and flare nut non faceted was destroyed. I built a replacement steel double flare fuel line getting around the engine accessories with a tubing bender. Many fittings off's and on's always leaking at the Inlet. Well it is stripped and I need to fix it. How is this done, can it be done with simple hand tools, I haven't begun to fix my 1975 F100 Baby and this 69 is draining the Bank. Hope to here some good news. All 4 1&1 4 All.
Likely easier/cheaper to just find another carb body and use it then try to fix the threads. Those old 2bbl Autolites were dime a dozen, but depending on where you are there might not be any close or cheap.
Here is the reply from Timesert I contacted them as suggested, I hoped this to be the solution, They do not recommend as described in this redacted E-Mail reply. I'm going to try finding another 2100 body cheap as I can along with removing the working carb from My 1975 in hope's it will work as a temp. HIO Silver I'm going to try your solution when I get mobile again. These shipping charges for tools and part's are killing me. P.S. Maybe I'll win $500 on a scratcher but I've never come in with a winner yet, It's only a buck! rite. stripped allowing gasoline to leak through on top of a hot engine intake manifold. Is this product recommended for this and other gas fuel thread applications. Thanks for your looking and maybe reply
