warn hub installation problem

I purchased some new warn hubs. I got one in, but on the other side, I can't getbit in far enough to install the outer snap ring that holds it in. It just hits the axle nut and won't go in further. Any idea what's up?

On later model trucks I know that automatic locking hubs and Warn manual hubs take different axle nuts. So I am assuming that is ALSO your problem. One side had a comparable axle nut and the other side does not. My brother once bought a Chev Blazer (78ish) that the PO had a warn hub in one side and a FORD hub on the other. So it is possible your truck has two different axle nuts. I would contact who you bought the hubs from and buy a Warn axle nut.

I figured it out. I just needed to tighten down the axle nut so I could put the hub in further! Thanks for the response!
