94 e4od problem
okay so I bought a truck from a young kid with some issues of course first issue was the wiring harness along the frame from the cab to the tail lights was ripped out and when I say ripped out I mean from the cab so I found a 4r70w trans truck and used that harness, the harness plugged into the transmission just fine and I hooked everything up color for color but now the transmission I am pretty sure is at full line pressure so would I have this problem because I used a different transmission wiring harness or should I not have any problems with my current trans would I have this problem because I used a different trans harness
the only code I am getting if I am reading the cluster right is 331
any help and all help would be greatly appreciated
So to recap E4od trans 4r70w harness full line pressure cause it shifts hard as hell thru all gears fluid smells fine no codes other than 331 if I am reading it right
Ready step back and punt this truck if I can't figure it out

So you have an E4OD trans in the truck and you took what was left of the wiring coming from the cab and spliced a 4R70W trans harness onto it. And it actually plugged into everything?
I seriously doubt the wiring pinouts are the same between the 2 harnesses. Even though you matched the wires up color for color, they probably terminate to different pins in the connector shells. You'll either need to re-pin the connectors or get an E4OD harness to make it work right.
Line pressure is controlled by an electric solenoid and when there's an electrical problem it defaults to max line to try and prevent the trans from slipping.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and welcome to FTE by the way!
