Caliper upgrade
Hello.
I have a 1990 F250 that has the 1 piston caliper. I want to upgrade to a 2 or 4 Pistons caliper keeping the same size rotor.
I couldn't find a list of interchangeable calipers that would fit.
Does any of you has any info about that?
Thanks.

Ah, now you've got me doubt myself. I'll check tonight. From memory it was one. Lmctruck sells the 1 piston. The autozone manual shows the 1 piston caliper but it could be another truck. I will definitely check.

Regardless of that I have, is there a 4 pistons caliper (from Ford, Dodge, GM or Toyota) that will be a perfect fit for the 1990 4X4 F250?

No. Im pretty sure cross drilled rotors are available, but thats about it for easy bolt on upgrades.

I'd be real surprised if you have single piston calipers...the factory twin piston calipers are pretty damn good considering the era they came from.
best brake upgrade would be a hydroboost setup off a newer truck, and/or rear disc conversion.

for sure.by a landslide.
however, the f450's hydroboost is a direct bolt on swap from the same era (87-97.)
