I went to the salvage yard yesterday. To my suprise there was close to 10 dents there.
I came away with a dash A/C vent tube for the far left vent and a bolt for my spare tire.
Here are some pictures of the dents I saw:
This is the truck I got the dash tube from
Camper special ranger lariet slide out step poor dent
These are all from Riverside Auto Salvage in Okc, Ok
Bed rails red/white truck, bottom of the brown cab steps, and the blue truck grill inserts $$. SC cab, cab part dent trim $$$, not reproduced anywhere. The mirrors on the white one, and a long list of that, that and that.
The top narrow strip has a small dent it looks like but the rest is really nice.
Bottom is missing or is nearby.
The thing I noticed with these trucks was that they really didn't have that bad of rust. Alot of good metal suprisingly.
Grab all the extra hardware you can (nuts, bolts, u-nuts, trim screws, plastic clips, etc.) and store them in a compartment box like the kind used for fishing tackle. It's a quick, convenient, and organized way to have just the right hardware at your disposal.
