I replaced all the brakes on my 74 f250 a while back it has 4 wheel drums. the truck been sitting for about a year, I just finished the power steering conversion which went well thanks for the suggestions. now I am starting to replace some body panels when I relized that the brake pedal will not move. It will not press domn at all even the emergency pedal will not move. what causes this and what do I need to do the fix it. everything has been replaced a bout 2 years ago, shoes, cylinders, drums, master cylinder. But I have not been driving it.
the cable is more than likely rusted on the inside of the cable casing. try squirting some wd40 inside the casing, get under the truck and spray the whole emergency cable with wd40. if it does not free up you will probably have to change your emergency cables
That's pretty wierd. It sounds like there must be something foreign to the brake system that is interfering with the pedal motion, maybe something jammed in there. Never heard of this happening otherwise.

did you attach a power booster? If so, how? Reason I ask is that I am doing the same thing. I took a power booster from a 73 XLT with the bracket from the engine side of the firewall. If you reassemble the bracket incorrectly, the pedal won't move.
the ebrake had a little rust and corrosion holding it, I used some wd 40 and a little leg muscle to loosen it. the brkes I pumped them a little. did not take it on the road yet I have all the body apart going to try to paint it this summer. going to put new 8' bed skins on both sides and advice?
