My front wiper/pump and the rear wiper works/pump works, but outputs no wiper fluid. The rear pump makes noise, so i know it is getting elec. Could it be a line clog, or crimp.....
If your pumps are working, but no fluid is coming out, then there's probably a clog or air bubble in the line somewhere. I don't know if there is a filter on the pumps that can be cleaned or not. There may also be a loose hose connection that is sending the fluid somewhere else. Also, if you waxed your truck recently, the spray nozzles could be clogged. Just a few possibilities. Hope you can find the cause.
Thanks for your info. There was a loose hose connection about 8 inches from the nozzle that was sending the nice smelling wiper fluid into to the roof and dripping somewhere....
I have a 2000 XP and my rear wiper would not operate at times.
I figured that the arm wasn't rotating down [clockwise] enough when parked to make the "start" contact. I took the arm off and rotated it counterclockwise [facing the front of the vehicle] and reinstalled it. That seemed to help.
On my 98 there is a coupling for the rear wiper tube behind the passenger kick panel. Mine was doing the same thing as you described so me and my 6 year old son went out to find the problem. Thank God for young eyes. He spotted the water leaking out of the rear door jam. I started at the rear door kick plate and the carpet was soaked. Followed it backwards to the passenger kick panel and found the hose had come loose at the coupling. If you have a problem finding it since it is pretty dark in there even with a flashlight, have someone operate the rear wash while you are looking for it. Do it quick though because that little pump moves alot of water. make sure to check your carpet and dry it if it got all wet like mine. Hope this helps you. Goldendually

This is a common problem on the Expeditions too. Put a fuel line clamp on the coupling to keep it from reoccurring.
