After the weather broke a little here, I done a little investigating on my hard start. Everything appears to be dry on my return system. After sitting for a day or two, it's getting air from the shrader valve on the filter head. I replaced the one in the filter head a while back. Should I do away with the return from the filter head?
i did away with the line front the front injector to filter head back in 1990 after getting a TSB from ford. never had any problems with air intrusion after that.

yup. put a bolt in the line with a hose clamp, and a brass plug in the filter head.
left it that way for about a year, then replaced the dual tap cap with a single outlet cap when i did return lines
Thanks tjc. Tried to find a small checkvalve at Lowe's. No luck. Gonna run by my local hardware store and see what they have. We have some decent weather today! You wouldn't know what size that brass plug would be, Would you?
I have a 1992 f250,5 speed flat bed. After setting a week it would not start. I cracked the first injector on drivers side as that usually did the trick. Not this time. After reading the post by tic I clamped the line from first injector to filter with a vise grip, cracked that other injector again and it started after about ten seconds of cranking. I then tightened back the injector. Thanks so much for that info. I we would have spent days looking for the intrusion otherwise. I will now just plug it off as described. Thanks.
