C6TZ-10732-A .. Battery Tray / Obsolete
Applications: 1966 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD
MCDONALD OBSOLETE PARTS CO. in Rockport IN shows 1 (812-359-4965), but their website hasn't been updated since 5/22/2014.
This is the only one I could find, no one else has any.
1957/66 DC Truck Repro Parts Catalog (2012 bound paper edition-page 62). DC has only repro'd this tray: C4TZ-10732-D (replaced C1TB-10732-A) = 1961/64 F100/250 2WD
Well contacted obsolete parts and no return call back...so might be sold...
I kind of painted myself into a corner... I thought I Located one on another forum but ended up being a scam.... (Still trying to get my money back...)
But my mistake ..In anticipation of it arriving I removed the old rusty one that was in there and it disintegrated.. So now I can't drive it until I find another...
Typical battery trays are made up of 2-3 pieces, the tray itself and 1-2 brackets. I have "built" trays where I use the brackets from the rig I am working on and a similar tray from some other vehicle. Not "original" but a decent work around.
If your original brackets are salvageable it might be worth a try.
Where abouts are you located? Drop me a PM and I might be able to help out.
This battery tray is a one piece assembly. If the bottom is rusted out, a piece of sheet metal could be welded in...solving the problemo.
This tray was used with the 4 different sized batteries available for 1965/66 F100/250 2WD's & 1966 F100 4WD's. These same batteries were also used on 1967/79 F100/350's.
Carpenter has repro'd the 1967/79 battery tray (C7TZ-10732-J), so the OP could buy it, then cut off its brackets, weld the tray to his battery tray...and be done with it.
