Seems like it was close to the same price but with a dual booster if only one side tore up you had to buy another entire unit, with two they can tear up one at a time lol

Can you tell me what parts you used? I have a 69 f600 with a bad booster and I'm losing air? Thanks in advance.

OP (Original Poster) has a 1972 F600, you do not.

Dash (firewall) or frame mounted booster? 1969 F600 before serial number E90,001 or from serial number E90,001? Serial number is the last 6 digits of the VIN

Shouldn't parts be interchangeable up until 72?

C9TZ-2005-F (replaced C8TZ-2005-K) .. Hydro-Vac Frame Mounted P/B Booster / Bendix # 2509140 (replaced 2507376) / Obsolete

C9TZ-2309-B .. P/B Booster Repair Kit / Obsolete

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has either part number ~ Try NAPA

Applications: 1969/70 F500/750.

F60 = F600 (gas).

C = 330 2V Medium Duty FT engine.

E = Mahwah NJ Assembly Plant.

E26770 = 1969.

Cardone reman, might be easier to find than oem ford? Cardone 51-8030
This is the one that fits my 68 f600 as far as I can tell. There’s a couple different cardone numbers.

If your brake booster in a "hydro vac" you should put a charcoal filter on the vacuum line as the gas fumes will get to the rubber diaphragm and cause it to fail.
If it has failed, do not rebuild it. buy a new later year one as the rebuild parts use old OEM parts and they only last a year.
I went thru two rebuilt ones before I bought a new one.
I bought mine from,
Midwest Power Products.
1 815 942 0550
$445. Part # 374980N

252slater,
Seen your post. I have a 68 F600 dump. Trying to fix brakes. My truck appears to have had a firewall mounted Booster. Is that what yours had and did the Cardone reman work for you?

Thanks
Southriver
