Ok so for the last few months ive been battling a slight power loss, accompanied by some sputtering. About 2200-2300rpm the truck would sputter and I would get a small cloud of blue smoke only when it would sputter, but the sputtering would quickly stop and all would return to normal. As it got colder it seemed to worsen. I also had a few harder than normal starts.


Well yesterday morning (of course it has to be the day after I get done rebuilding my oil cooler) I start up the truck and it starts to idle really rough out of the blue. A CEL comes on and all smooths out. I pulled the plug off my ICP sensor and it was covered in oil. Changed the ICP and it runs like brand new.


Figured I would post about this incase someone else has similar symptoms.

 

try it on a free rev(in neutral rev it fast) and see if it does it. It could be injector O-rings as well, or both affecting each other, or just the icp

 

I have, that's how I first noticed the problem, and that's how I know its fixed lol
