My truck has slowly developed an extremely rough idle. When it is cold and I start her for the first time she idles perfectly at 750 for about 25 minutes. After that the idle drops to about 550 and shakes the whole truck. It stays rough up to about 1000rpm's and then smooths out. Also, while it idle's the motor revs up a little for a split second and then drops again, does this over and over.
Other than the idle the truck runs excellent. Starts right up every time and there is no CEL. My first thought was the flywheel going but I dont think that would make the idle jump up and down like that. I dont even know where to start looking on this.

when was the last time you changed your fuel filter?
check your icp connections and wires if ever modded, also look in the sensor itself for oil seeping thru.If all previous things are ok then you might want to get a live scanner on it to see what icp pressure is to determine if IPR is working. I agree Waljon sounds oil related.Does it smoke much while acting up?

Sorry it took a few days to reply. I changed both my fuel filters 1,000 miles ago. I thought that was the problem the whole time but it is still acting up after I changed them.

I replaced these about 10,000 miles ago when I did my injectors.
I guess my next step is to get a scan done and post the numbers up here. Do you think it could be the tuning? I only have my computer flashed so I don't have a chip to pull out to see if it runs better without it. I appreciate the help
I'm having the same exact issues. I pulled the injectors for upgrades (DIY II's) and the o-rings were rough and 2 of the injectors didn't look to be 100%. I'm hoping the upgrade will help.
Well I have been trying to get a hold of my buddy who has the AE software but he is not answering any of my calls so I have no way to get a scan done. Any other ideas?
