blue smoke only when cold
With the onset of the cold weather I have noticed blue smoke upon startup. By cold well it was in the negative temps when I really noticed it. Once up to operating temp I get no smoke at all. I just did a 7 hour trip last weekend and the truck ran great had the wife read off the gauges from the scanner while I was driving and nothing stood out. Is it getting time for a turbo rebuild. I have no starting issues at all. I forgot to plug n the truck and at -5°-F it fired right off. It did idle rough for 3-4 seconds then smoothed out. I do need to get ficm voltage dead cold but I remote start in the morning so haven't done it. I have never seen the ficm cold below 47.5 usually runs 48-49 volts. I can start and take off within 45 seconds if need be no bucking or anything. You can tell it's not warned up but no issues except the blue smoke. It does not hang around long but longer than steam would. Do any of you guys have thoughts on the situation?
