trembling on acceleration

My 2000 explorer is trembling when I begin to accelerate. This does not happen when in idle. Any ideas why this is so.

Which engine does your Explorer have? When is the last time you performed a tune up on the truck, or at least replaced the spark plugs and spark plug wires?

The engine is 4.0L SOHC V6. Tune up might be overdue but I did not see any leakage when it is dark.

stumble during acceleration is quite often a bad coil or spark plugs.

Hey, Sherod and Steve(III), thanks for the info. It is the wires found a bad leak on a wire last night, changed it and engine running smooth again. However, I wlll have to schedule a full tuneup ASAP as I am way over due. Thank you very much.
