running issues
picked up a bronco that turned out to have a melted piston in it. no big deal. bought a replacement block and heads that seemed ok. put it all together with new seals and all that. now to the issues. quite a bit of blow by it seems but most importantly it will start and only idle for a few seconds on its own. if i open up the throttle a little bit i can keep it alive but if i let it idle eventually it will progressively get worse, start misfiring and pass out all together and will fire right back up without any down time just to do the same thing again fuel pressure is up between 60 and 70psi and stays high when it dies out so I'm confident thats not the problem. codes i picked out are PIP erratic and o2 sensor codes because its not plugged in. what should i do?

your fuel pressure should be 35 - 40psi at the rail. if its going up to 60 + your fuel pressure regulator is shot and needs replaced. Check the oil for any gas contamination, gas will wash the bearings in a motor and ruin it. Timing should be 10* btdc with spout connector removed as well. Don't mess with the throttle body screw just an fyi, this is a preset factory deal and will cause issues.
