traction control?
2014 F250 6.2. I turn traction control off while plowing or any winter driving. With it off I can spin rear tires,but as soon as there is the slightest turn in the front wheels its like something takes over. Lose of power and sounds like anti lock brakes kick in. Is this normal. I like to throw in 2wd and spin around while plowing. Also the kid in me has never left and I like to drift in turns. It takes all the fun out of winter driving.

That must be what it is. When I say I hear it when I turn the wheel,I mean while spinning rears and turning fronts at the same time. Would trailer swa feature have anything to do with it? Or does that only come into play when a trailer is hooked up?

Its the stability control. It applies brakes where it thinks it should to ruin your fun! Ford invented it for women or people who don't know how to drive. I miss the days when we used to be able to "skid" in our trucks too!

On a separate note, since you mentioned it, does anyone know if the sway control ON/OFF in the dash menu does anything when your NOT hooked up to a trailer?
just an info bit. I read somewhere, on here, I think, that when the trac control is on, it will also act like a little like a limited slip, by sometimes only tapping the brake on the wheel that's spinning, so that they can both dig a little.

Yep, press and hold traction control button for 5 seconds turns off advancetrac,back to fun in the snow...
