Rag joint broke

Darn darn darn. I knew I should have replaced the rag joint when I had the engine out, the front clip off and the column out. Live and learn. The coupling assembly is from my 77 donor truck that I got the power steering box from. It's not black rubber it's carmel coloured. Must have cracked while moving the non-running truck into the shop from the cold outside. Should be fun to change with everything reassembled and power brake booster added above. I'll have to pull the column again. What's easier to change, the coupler assembly or just the disc? I see I can buy either one. Or does the whole assembly have to come off either way?

generally you unbolt it and slide the column back a bit. then swap in the new disk. I would inspect the whole thing and replace what's needed.

I've done a few in the truck. Not that hard. Should unbolt from the column, then slip the sleeve off the box and replace the rubber and reinstall.
