That is what my neighbor does............Then he has a plow on the 4-wheeler for winter........Then get a little garden trailer for the 4-wheeler..Fill it with ice and beer and ??? for the pool parties.........
See........Problem solved Marine........
If you can swing it I would go for a side by side over a four wheeler. I had a small tractor that I used around the house, picked up a used john deere gator, and the tractor got used less and less. Finally sold the tractor as I was only using the front end loader to lift heavy things. With the gator I can spray the yard 6 foot at a time, spread grass seed and fertilizer(electric spreader) and keep extra in the bed, haul mulch straw sand or what ever. Put a cooler on the front with fishing rods and tow more than you would think. For trailers I use the front hitch to position things. It has moved my 2700 pound smoker on level ground with no problem although it is only rated for 1400. It also beats the heck out of walking everywhere, just lod it up with tools and make one trip.
Haha, I have a JD X530. I fabbed up a hitch on the back and I tow around a 2000lb tree shredder behind me like it's not there. I also built my own yard trailer to use for stuff (generator, 5th wheel hitch/wood/chainsaws and all that stuff).
I also have a JD 2210 tractor with a front loader but I don't use it near as much as the little 530. Love the yard stuff....
Good morning ruschejj. I was looking at the X534 for an upgrade. My yard has quite a few trees and I would still want something with a tight turning radius. I walked in the garage yesterday and noticed my SST-16 has a small pool of transmission oil under it. Looks like it's going in so I may see what they will give me towards a trade-in for a new X534. I'm sure the 534 will move my boat fairly easily.
I would love to see a pic of your fabricated hitch if you get a chance.
It's just a 4"x8" piece of angle iron. 5/16" thick, lol. It ain't pretty but it ain't going nowhere....it's high enough for my needs, the axle on my 2 wheel steer 530 is rated for 1,000 pounds if I remember right.
Doug and I are coming to your house and drag your sorry azz out side and wip your butt.......Then cement a sign in your front yard that says, "This sorry azz Marine was beat to the dirt by two Squids"
