A/C on recirculate without pushing the recycle button

OK, I already know that on a FORD you cant get this done, for whatever the engineers had in mind...like maybe they drive BMW and not trucks..or go 4x4..

But on my Jeeps and FJ I was able to totally seal the vehicle from the outside...so dust or salt or anything coming from the outside coming in...

Yes, I know the exploding windows and all that, taken care off, manually, never had that issue...

being able to drive with NVG's and a SCBA....is a must for me...call me crazy its ok...

All this being said, any of the Master Mechanics here know how to them disable the vacs or the location of the bend/outside door as to just seal it shut ??

I'm in for this too.

I think the only position on the **** that does recycle is "MAX AC".
It'd be nice in the cold to have recycled air.

I wonder if the electronic controls have that function...

Open your glovebox, empty all the crap out of it, then drop the door (squeeze back ends together to clear stops).

The recirculate door is right there. It's vacuum actuated and I forget what the default "no vacuum" position, if any, is supposed to be.

If it's supposed to be in the recirculate position with no vacuum, disconnect and plug the vacuum line. If its in the outdoor position with no vacuum, do the above, then prop the door in the recirculate position. If you're sufficiently motivated, you'll figure something out if you want something more complex.

Keep in mind that the Exc probably has a heater core bypass in the MAX A/C position, so that position isn't very useful in the winter.

I did that, it was the only one in that area, I tried that both ways...
I was till able to get outside stuff inside .. I use those smoke bombs to test..

I cant find any other doors exposing to the outside on the Ford diagram...I cant even find the breathers on the back panels....

Its in the 20 so I guess I will try again in spring unless anyone else has any ideas or tried anything else...

Thanks Bro..
