86 Dually wheel options

Got an 86 dually that only came with 4 wheels/tires. I'm new to duallies but when wheel shopping I need to pay attention to hub center diameter not just lug pattern cause they are hub centric correct?

What can I get wheels off that will fit? A guy up the street is selling a good set off a 95 chevy. 8x6.5 but the Ford hub center is larger correct, so they won't work, or will they?

I'm guessing another Ford. I had an 86 E350 cube van, that I put the wheels and tires on my 97 F350 . So I know they interchange.

Do some more research. I am not sure, but I think if you use the correct lug nuts, you can use lug centric wheels. If the wheels have the tapered holes, and you get the tapered lug nuts, it should work.

The hub centric dually wheels I am familiar with had lug nuts with large washers made onto the lug nut. So they did not go down into the wheel like a more common lug nut would. They also had a small hole in the rim and a little pin that when in this hole was on the trucks' hub.

Measure them with a tape - both bolt pattern and center hole, if that matches use the lug nuts that match the wheels. It will either have cone shaped lug nuts or the ones with the washers built in.
