To All with an interest: The WD-40 seems to have corrected the issue. The back hatch has been used 50 times or so after a good spraying ON TO THE LATCHES INSIDE the door with a 100% NO-FAIL rate.......
I have the same problem. And it also interferes with my aftermarket alarm system. It say when it goes off that a door sensor was tripped and i know its the back since its the only one that gives me problems. Love to know how to fix it

So you think that after the truck is closed up & all is well THEN the back hatch switch unmakes itself as to set of the alarm ?? That would mean that just some time in the night all my lights would come on ...That never happens on any of my trucks...when I get them to make up (slam method) they stay that way till used again. Never had one unmake itself while driving around either. look at post #9.. Seems to be a valid fix..$26X2 but I don't think that is the problem your having with your alarm ??

That wd displaces moisture but as soon as it dries up it will be back and maybe worse because now it probably attracted dirt.
Without going out in the freezing weather; he never said WHERE these switches are. Exactly where are they? I have never seen so much vagueness on such a simple subject.

I think its the sensors because the light did come on one night. And its only happening when it gets cold out
