I recently had my E4OD rebuilt on my 1993 F250 4X4 w/7.5l and of course an E4OD.
After having it redone 3 times due to hard shifts and my vss, mlps and tps being replaced twice they think it may be my PSOM. What symptoms did you guys with the PSOM going out have?
Is there any way to test it myself and see if it is indeed going out? Also is there anything out there aftermarket I can use to bypass all the engine calibration crap to make my transmission shift correctly.
Thanks,
Geoff

Read this thread a couple of times. One possible symptom is that it fails the "prove-out" test described in that thread. There's no way around fixing/replacing it, but a whole used cluster is only $40-100.
What years PSOM will fit my truck. I have a 93 4X4 7.5 w/E4od. Do I need to get one specifically for '93 or can I get one up to a '96? Does it have to be fore an automatic or can I put my gear selector stuff on it? Also does it need a specific calibration code or anything?
