4x4 wheel lock issue

4x4 wheel lock issue
Have an 08 f150 crew and love it. I have noticed though that when its in 4x4, it seems as thought the right front wheel is always engaged. any ideas on why it's not letting the 4x4 float back and forth from right to left??

I understand that the hubs on both sides lock in. By "float" I meant that the wheel with the least resistance spins in a 4wd that doesn't have a locking mechanism. It seems as if my truck's front tires do not do this. My first thought may be a slight left-front brake hang-up, it doesn't feel as if it is, but it could be just enough to keep the right front engaged.
