Hi guys I just put an 8 ft fisher plow on the front of my 03 f150 FX4 XLT (FX4 Offroad) The front end sags so much with the plow on it is hard to keep it up and drive with it. I would love to know what I could do to fix this with heavier torsion bars or helper bags, the thing is I can't find anything anywhere on the topic or anything that fits the 03 f150. If you guys know of anything I would love to find out. Thanks
rob
The normal way to raise the front end of this truck is to crank up the torsion bars to a higher level. Try this first before looking at modifications. The back end of the "bars" end under the driver and passenger seats. There is a "cam" on the end of each bar and a setscrew that pushes the cam to increase or decrease the truck height. They are not necessarily made to increase load carrying capability, but to set the ride height

Im looking to stiffen the suspension not raise it. the ride height is fine but the thing is its sags like botch when i put the plow on. I need to stiffen it so it can handle the load.
There is no way to increase the front "spring preload" on these year f150's. Like mentioned you can crank the keys up BUT the front end will sit higher with no plow. I believe there is a company that sells air shocks for the f150 but I don't remember where I found them. Try google for air shocks for your year truck, if not upgrade to a f250 or f350
