Hey I'm working on restoring my truck it's a 92 f350 crew cab long bed dually. The bed is rotten out and needs replaced I was wondering if anyone has used a regulal 8 foot bed and just bolted the dually fenders to it are there much differences between the beds other then the fenders? I only ask because the only dually bed I could find is 1800 bucks I can find regular long beds for 300

Dually beds are made differently for the dually fenders to attach to it.
You can NOT bolt factory dually fenders to a NON dually bed.
You can buy aftermarket dually conversion fenders and bolt them to the NON dually bed but they are about $600 for the fenders
How do you know which fenders you have? I think someone at some point replaced my bed with a non dually one but I'm not 100 percent sure
Fuel filler door. The adult one IIRC is taller than long. Conversion ones are more symmetrical on conversions since they use the SRW doors over
Inside the filler opening. The factory will have a plastic housing the filler neck bolts to. The conversion will be fiberglass.
Another way to tell it the factory dually fenders have no "inner Lip" What i mean by that, is what you would normally screw a mud flap to. The conversion ones typically do.
There are more but i can't remember them all off the top of my head.
BTW here are some pics of both a factory dually bed and a conversion one
www.car-part.com shows 3 dually beds in Nebraska.

i don't know if you could use nor would like one but keep your eyes open for used dump beds (mason dumps, sake side dump etc.) often you can have a dump setup for about the same price depending on whats being sold locally.ebay/gl/local trade & swap mags etc.

Some food for thought to go along with this. Not sure if it applies to where you are to not.
Around here if you have a pickup the tolls are $1.00. For any other type of truck you are charges PER AXLE $2.50 SO a flatbed, utility body, dump body, etc is $5.00 toll
Thanks for all the input I checked mine out it's a non dually bed with the aftermarket dually fenders added so il either get this regular bed I found and reuse my fenders or pick that one up from n Platte I'm out there every day for work
