I just get mine from Riffraff. They great thing is I can get my filters and everything else I need together. Some other sites are sometimes .25 cheaper on a filter, but I have to pay shipping twice since I always need other parts at the same time. It is an added plus that since Riffraff is an actual shop and, not just a discount drop shipper trying to make a quick buck, I can actually call when I have tech questions.
Racor (OEM) oil filters are $13 at dieselfiltersonline.com
Get a few people together to buy $250 worth of stuff (oil, fuel, air, filters etc) and you get free shipping (especially easy if you are buying Mercon SP or LV).
This is where I got mine. It's still the best deal for the OEM Racor filters oil and fuel and they're the best deal (still) for the Motorcraft air filter.
I used the Frams for years. I am now using and having to order in the Racors. A couple years ago Fram filters did change. My local parts lady brought in 3 or 4 different brands and each was different.
Have you checked out diesel-filters.com I think last time I looked they were the cheapest after shipping was added.
The last time I ordered from them because I needed fuel, trans, and oil for multiple 6.0's that I was servicing. Good prices and super fast shipping. Plus they're within my state.
I went to one of the local Walmarts today and they had 3 regular Fram filters but 2 of them are the new style with the plastic adapter. I could definitely tell the difference in quality. There is no way I would put that piece of crap in my truck. I went ahead and bought the good one with the patent numbers. I'm now covered for a couple of oil changes. They still had the tough guard Fram and the Motorcraft that are the good ones. The one I bought was in the old box but the first one I bought was in the new style box with the Racor filter. I literally wanted to crush the crappy filters just to keep someone from putting them in their trucks!!

I've wondered, how many of the 6L horror stories/failures could be traced back to using the wrong Oil filter and/or Housing together..
Every 6.0 I have encountered had a oem filter with an aftermarket tall cap. One was just serviced at our local dealer, must have had the new guy doing it that day, I figured it would have been I big deal to install an oem cap at most dealers quick change lanes.
My local Ford dealer did my first oil change, when I bought it used with 99k miles. Later I had the BPD system installed by a former Ford tech at his own shop. I have an aftermarket oil cap - I'll never know whether it was on originally when I bought it - or while installing the BPD system my tech swapped out my OEM Cap for the one I have now - with the BPD system the oil filter housing isn't used - so it doesn't matter, but it IS one of those questions I wonder about...
Makes me glad I have always changed my own oil. I have paid for 1 oil change in 55 years and the Walmart tech tore the drain cup off of my 97 Mountaineer's oil cooler. He wrapped a chain wrench around it and could not figure out why the filter was not coming off until I got underneath and gave him some guidance.

I also noticed that Fram switched the design to the adapter version, what a pile of junk. The older Frams were identical to the Motorcraft filters with the same patent numbers stamped on them. Unfortunately my local WalMarts now only carry the new Fram crap filter that comes with the chincy adapter. So it is either Motorcraft from WalMart or Racor from Dieselfilters's website for me.
For the last 20K miles, I have used a K&N S/S Reuseable filter. Just take it out, let it drain and check the magnets for any metal particles. Wash it with some gas, dry with an air hose and install. If you buy one, don't use the K&N oil filter cap O ring. It leaks. Ask me how I know.
