Hey guys im currently in over my head with reading material about my 4x4 not working. I thought I could post here in the hopes of a quick answer or even to help narrow it down as I continue to research my entire 4wd system.
I live up in Canada and the bitter cold winter just finally hit with full force. So today as I went to switch to 4 hi and nothing happened. I was in a rush so didn't think anything of it. just now I went to a quiet parking lot and I flipped the switch and I can hear clicking at what I believe is the transfer case (hard to narrow down where while seated inside). I thought maybe some lines froze up with this cold hitting all of a sudden but I have not had an issue with the 4x4 system even with frequent off roading in the summer.
the truck is a 2004 NBS f150 fx4 with auto transfer case and no manual hubs. Thank you for any advice or responses what-so-ever.
