Exclamation Major Issue! Please Help!

2006 E-350 Dually Ambulance Chassis with the 6.0
Approx 125000 miles.

Recently, the truck started an issue. its an every once in awhile thing but has been doing it more recently. The OD light will start flashing and the vehicle will start to have clunking in the tranny and start shifting rough. ABS kicks in making it hard to stop. Once you turn the truck off and back on, Its fine until it does it again. Im connecting to a scanner tomorrow to see if i get any codes. Has anyone had this problem?

I need some help on this ASAP!

(Please no smart *** comments. I really need some help.)

There is no way to know what's wrong without reading the codes.

Let us know how it turns out. What did you use for a scanner? I no longer own a Ford diesel ( my only other diesel is a Bobcat) but I'm curious about things.

I think there's much more at work than a temperature sensor. I can't see how that could affect your ABS operation and make the truck hard to stop.

I suspect you have an electrical issue going on that involves much more than your transmission temperature sensor. Which type of scan tool did you use? I wouldn't replace anything just yet, I'm fairly certain you're wasting your time and money with the sensor.

Talking SOLVED!!!

It was infact the sensor. It caused the tranny to go into "protective mode", causing OD to go on and off, causing ABS to think the vehicle was loosing traction. I drained the fluids, changed the sensor and gasket, and boom. it fixed it. costed about $15 for the part, $35 for gasket, and $70 in ATF.

much better than a dealers $650...

I used an Innova 3100ABS scanner. Worked great.

Gotta like the happy ending where you get to keep your cash instead of turning it over to a gouger. Though sometimes the dealers are a necessary evil.

Surprisingly enough, the dealer had the best prices on the parts...of course i wanted OEM and not After Market. Our company gets a discount as well so we saved like 5 bucks...
